What is the personal area
The personal area is the section of the website where you can consult, purchase and renew quotes and policies, make new quotes and, if required by your policy, request changes to purchased policies.
How can I pay? Which form of payment is accepted?
Payment by credit card is allowed.
How can I register with the portal to request a quote?
You can register by clicking on the LOGIN button in the upper right hand corner and then on create new account. Alternatively, you can simply make a quote by choosing the policy and filling out the questionnaire: if the quote is of interest to you, you can register to purchase it.
Why can't I log in?
Pay attention when entering user and password - acces is case sensitive.
Can I edit a quote after I have retrieved it?
Yes, by clicking on the modify button at the side of the valid quote, you can decide whether to duplicate the quote and make a new one or modify the existing one by overwriting it.
I need to retrieve my certificate, how can I do that?
Once issued, the policy certificte will be always available in the Personal Area.
Where can I find the policy conditions?
They are always available on the site, in the detail pages of the individual policies.
Assistance and Cancellation policy information
Travel Assistance section
The Assistance section protects the insured while travelling in case of illness or injury, organizing through the operations center (active 24 hours a day) travel assistance services such as: telephone medical consultation, sending a doctor or an ambulance in case of emergency, transfer and medical return.
Travel medical expenses section
Covers, with direct payment, medical/hospital expenses for urgent and non - postponable treatment of surgery received by the insured during the trip. This section also provides for reimbursement of expenses for transportation to the first aid medical center and expenses for medical examinations, diagnostic tests and outpatient treatment. The amount insured varies depending on the final destination.
Luggage section
Covers material and direct damage to the insured arising from theft, robbery, mugging and failure to retun personal luggage by the air carrier.
Travel cancellation section
The guarantee indemnifies the Insured of the paid and non refundable amounts, withheld by the travel organizer, if the trip is cancelled as a result of one of the circumstances specified provideed that they are documented, involuntary and unforeseeable at the time of booking (such as death or hospitalization of the insured or a family member, appointment of the insured as a juror or is testimony made by the Juridical Authorities).
Cover Stay
This section, in the event of medical detention of the Insured, ordered by the competent authority for security reasons, provides for the reimbursement of any additional essential and indispensable costs for food and hotel accomodation incurred by the Insured for the forced stay on site and for travel tickets for the return to Italian territory.
What is not insured
All assistance services not previously authorized by the Operation Center are excluded; furthermore, damages committed with malice by the Insured are always excluded.
Reimbursement deriving directly or indirectly from situations of armed conflict, foreign enemy acts and war are excluded from the insurance. Each section of the policy foresees the delimitations reported, with all the relative details, in the articles called "Particular exclusions of section".
Below are some of the key exclusions:
- for the Travel Assistance section, travel undertaken to a territory where a prohibition or restriction issued by a competent public authority is operative.
- for the Travel Medical Expenses section , in the case in which the insured disregards the indications of the operations center or in case the trip was undertaken for the purpose of undergoingmedical/surgical treatment.
- for the Luggage section , computers, telephones, money and jewelry are not covered.
- for the Travel cancellation section, refunds will not be made for cancellations caused by pre-existing illnesses of an evolving nature and their complications or if at the time of booking the conditions or events that could cause the request for compensation already exist.
- for the Cover Stay section, travel undertaken to countries in which medical detention was already known.
When does coverage begin and when does it end?
For the guarantees of assistance, medical expenses and luggage, coverage begins on the date of departure and will cease on the day of return from the trip and in any case no later than the 30th day following the start of the trip.
For the trip cancellation guarantee the coverage starts from the date of purchase of the trip and ceases on the day of the beginning or until the beginning of the trip itself.
